Nichol Kessinger has come forward as the mistress of murderer Chris Watts –accused of killing his pregnant wife and toddler daughters.
Nichol has broken her silence and is speaking out about her relationship with cold blooded murderer, Chris Watts –the two had been dating for about two months before he killed his wife and children in Colorado.
Kessinger told outlets she met Watts at work and that he presented to her as a single man who was wrapping up a divorce. She says she only found out he was still married following news reports of his wife’s disappearance.
Nichol Kessinger became suspicious of all of his lies and contacted police two days after Chris’s wife Shannan and their daughters Bella, 4 and Celeste, 3, –had gone missing.
The case quickly made headlines after it was reported Watts not only killed pregnant Shannan but also killed the couple’s children and put their bodies in oil tanks. Shanann who was pregnant with the couple’s third child, a son –went missing last August after she returned from a work trip.
30-year-old Kessinger says she grilled Watts about his family’s disappearance but he repeatedly tried to steer the conversation away from his family. On August 15, she went to police and revealed everything about her relationship with him in an attempt to help, Nichol Kessinger says ‘I just wanted to help. After Watts was in police custody, he tried to put the blame on wife Shannan, saying it was her who strangled the couple’s daughters –in revenge after he had told her he was living her for another woman. That other woman is Kessinger.
The two met at work back in June. Nichol Kessinger was working in the environmental department with an Anadarko Petroleum contractor, while Watts worked for the oil company.
Watts, 33, was arrested on Aug. 15 for the murders. He pleaded guilty on Nov. 6 to all nine counts against him.
