The Polish actress, model and television presenter Katarzyna Lourdes-Sowinska, also called Kasia Sowinska, is reportedly dating Mexican singer Luis Miguel. The couple has been seen together since February and were pictured together in Acapulco. It seems that Kasia will also be with Luis Miguel in his tour, she is one of his backup singers! Yes, this beauty can sing in Spanish too.
31-year-old Kasia Sowinska was born on February 22, 1982 in Walbrzych, Dolnoslaskie, Poland. She is daughter of Bozena i Leslaw Sowincy. Kasia as a twin brother, Tomek, who lives in Italy, and a younger sister, Marysia.
She loves to play the piano and she is also a professional horse rider, having won many prestigious trophies including “The Best Contestant of the Year” in 1998.
In 1999, Kasia got discovered by the world of fashion. She was signed by The Metropolitan, one of the most successful and respected modeling agencies in the world. She traveled to work in places such as NY, Paris, Miami, Korea, Barcelona, Mexico City, and Los Angeles.
In 2005, she returned to Poland where she studied Politics and Journalism at the University of Warsaw. She worked at MTV Poland at the same time, where she became the nation’s favorite host. She presented many TV music galas, festivals and award ceremonies, and got to work with artists such as Snoop Dog, 50 Cent, J-Z, The ***** Cat Dolls, Joss Stone, James Blunt, etc.
Kasia showcased her vocal skills in a TV show called “Jak Oni Spiewaja” in 2007. Her biggest passion, acting, began to flourish in 2005.
She has appeared in the TV series Kryminalni (2006), Królowie sródmiescia (2006), Tylko milosc (2007) , and BrzydUla (2008). Also in the films Polisz kicz projekt… kontratakuje (2006) and Rys (2007).
Kasia currently lives in Los Angeles and is taking classes at the acting academy of Howard Fine. She recently made an appearance in an American series “Ricky and Ravy are Between Jobs”. She is also an active supporter and ambassador of the Avon Poland campaign “Fight Against Breast Cancer”, which she was honored to produce.
She has reportedly appeared in Playboy Magazine twice.
