Andrea probably witnessed the birth of her hubby’s fantasy series. She had to believe and probably support his ideas when no one else would. A blog for the show reads:
The show, which is based on George R. R. Martin’s books about warring families in medievalish times, didn’t appear to be a sure thing when creators David Benioffand D.B. “Dan” Weiss first pitched it to HBO. It was viewed as a wildcard. HBO was The Sopranos and The Wire. How could this fanboy fantasy series feel worthy of the HBO pedigree? HBO took that chance.
Game of Thrones has since won critical raves, a slew of awards and more than 15 million viewers, making it the third-most-watched series in HBO history.
Has also put Andrea’s hubby’s name in the map. Lovely Andrea is the mom of two children, the couple are the proud parents of two small boys: sons Leo, 4, and Hugo, 2.
