We have a couple alert! Meet perhaps one of the funniest writers out there and if you are a fan of SNL-and who isn’t- you will approve of the relationship! Meet 31-year-old Colin Jost, Rashida Jones’ new boyfriend.
Sources close to the couple are saying they have known each other for a while and that the alleged couple reportedly spent time together at “SNL” star Seth Meyers’ wedding on Sept. 1. Colin might be a few years younger than Rashida but he certainly rises up to the Parks and Recreation actress, comic book author, screenwriter and occasional singer.

Colin Jost is the ultimate New Yorker, he was born and raised in Staten Island, after graduating from Regis High School in Manhattan he attended Harvard University where he studied “the History and Literature of Russia and Britain.” So that’s one thing the couple has in common already. He is the son of Dr. Kerry Kelly who besides of being a physician in Staten Island is also the Chief Medical Officer for the New York City Fire Department. Colin has also one brother named Casey Jost who followed into the steps of his older brother being a comedy performer/writer and musician.
As a writer he has had a successful career, at his young age he already has three Writers Guild ( WGA ) awards (2007, 2009, 2010); a Peabody Award in 2009 and five Emmy Awards nominations. He started writing for SNL at age 22 and never stopped since.
Now after a decade of writing for the iconic show he is a head writer at Saturday Night Live and a touring stand-up comedian lucky enough to have performed stand-up all over the country during the past eight years. According to his personal website Colin’s been performing since the 6th grade, when his teachers let him and his friends reenact SNL sketches and read David Letterman Top Ten lists in front of the entire school. And while at Harvard even helped create Facebook!
So the passion was obvious growing up. He also has appeared on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, TBS and at the Just For Laughs comedy festival in Montreal.
